Greg to call for number 3 bus to be restored

Greg is again raising the issue of bus services for Cochrane Park with NEXUS and Stagecoach/ A large number of residents expressed disappointment with the axing of the 49 service and the decision to only run the number 3 service at peak hours. This leaves Cochrane Park and many parts of the East End without a north-south service between Gosforth, Heaton, and Walker, and is especially inconvenient for those who need to get to the Freeman Hospital.
Greg says "We collected hundreds of names on a petition to ask Stagecoach to reconsider and they indicated they would look again at the issue if demand could be proven. Nexus has just restored part of the old 13 service (the new 50) in the west of the city following local pressure and we would like to see the number 3 similarly restored".
